Vulcan KV Laminate Powder Board System

Vulcan KV Laminate Powder Board System:

•    Place a sheet of greaseproof paper or a moulding film sheet on the tray or bed of a Moulding press.
•    Place engraved, etched die(s) or dup(s) facing up on the tray or bed.
•    Place the correct thickness bearers on press.
•    Spray release spray on die/dup(s).
•    Sprinkle KV powder into the die/dup(s) a few mm above the face of the die/dup(s) avoiding air traps.
•    Place KV backing material on the die/dup(s).
•    Place a sheet of greaseproof paper or release film and then a thick Aluminium plate on top.
•    Slide tray or bed into the press and mould to the required method, temperature and time.
•    Remove from press and cool rapidly under pressure to avoid the moulded KV Counterforce from coming out of the mould.
•    Once cooled remove the KV Counterforce from the metal die/dup.
•    The backing can be machined to the required thickness.

(A blend of KV powder and a hardener can be poured in the image area of the embossing die to produce a harder and more durable Counterforce)

KV powder without a backing board:

•    Spray release spray on die/dup(s).
•    Sprinkle KV powder into the die/dup(s) about 2 mm above the face of the die/dup(s) avoiding air traps.
•    Spray release spray liberally on an Aluminium plate and once dry place the sprayed side against the die/dup(s).
•    Place a sheet of greaseproof paper or Release film over the backing plate.
•    Slide tray or bed into the press and mould to the required method, temperature and time.
